Retreats are a time away from your everyday life and offer a chance to pause, take care and reconnect with yourself.  Whether they last a few hours, a day, a weekend or longer, it is such a beneficial way to experience mindfulness, improve wellbeing and just take stock of how you are.

 During these retreats, you have time and space to be with yourself, share practice in a community with other participants.  There is often poetry or readings to listen to, a chance to journal your experiences and to connect with nature.  They offer a combination of movement and stillness practices and other mindfulness-based activities.  Sometimes we prepare fresh food together to share as our lunch and everything is an invitation to simply be in the present moment.  A retreat allows space for wise choices.  As the retreat unfolds, you will find opportunities to turn towards your experience with patience, kindness and selfcare.

Mindfulness day retreats

Throughout the year, I offer wellbeing fundraising retreats or mindfulness day retreats in beautiful venues around Shropshire. Some of these are suitable for complete beginners and serve as an introduction to mindfulness practices.  This make ideal gifts for other people or come with a few friends and enjoy some quality time together.  Other retreats are in silence and aimed at people who are on a course or have done a course with me previously and wish to deepen further into practice.

Living in the Present themes offer a different approach to the everyday and translate readily into a retreat format.   The gold standard MBSR course can be adapted to a retreat format, allowing those with very busy lives to spread the course out and attend one or two days a month to complete the course.
